Teen dog play group and dog training at The Friendly Bark indoor dog park and training facility

Teen Dog Learn and Play

$16/dog only one dog per handler

Our Teen Dog Learn & Play Meetup is designed specifically for adolescent dogs who are navigating that in-between stage — not quite puppies, not quite adults. During this structured play session, owners will learn how to support healthy play while understanding how tolerance and play styles can shift as dogs mature.
This isn’t just open play — it’s guided, intentional social time.
What to expect:
Structured play with staff support and supervision
Coaching on recognizing signs of overstimulation or changing tolerance
Encouraged play breaks to prevent escalation
Fun, basic obedience games woven in to build focus and impulse control
Real-time tips on how to advocate for your dog during social interactions
Adolescence is when many dogs start refining their social preferences and boundaries. Learning how to step in appropriately, call your dog out for breaks, and redirect energy into quick training games can make a huge difference in preventing “good play” from turning into tense moments.
If you’ve noticed your teen dog getting a little extra rowdy lately… you’re not alone. This meetup is here to help you both build confidence, communication, and positive social skills in a safe, supportive environment.
Because growing up doesn’t have to be chaotic — it can actually be kind of fun.
